PCT Day 145

Goldmyer Hotsprings to 2440 campsite- 24 miles (39km) – 2440 miles total

The trail for the morning continued along a fire service Rd for about 3 miles until it turned back into a track. It led past a beautiful lake before dropping me back down to rejoin the PCT about 12 miles later.

Amazing lakes along the alternative

After raining for a bit the sun came out and I took the opportunity to dry out my tent before the next rain came. It was a 6 mile trudge uphill in the afternoon, which wasn’t too bad but I also wasn’t moving quickly. By early evening the cloud had cleared enough to give me a glimpse of some incredible views.

The Cascades are amazing

As a sat in my tent eating dinner a cheeky little mouse came up and jumped in my cup that had just had my chai in it. My food is getting tucked away tonight.

Today I am thankful for climbs that are not as bad as expected.
