PCT Day 124

Maiden Peak Shelter to Dumbell Lake – 33 miles (53 km) – 1947 miles total

The good news is that the mouse didn’t come out to play during the night. However, I still hung my food.

It was a day of lakes today. I’m not sure what Oregon’s Tagline is, but the lake state has surely got to be up there.

It was a pretty mellow day in regards to elevation gain and loss which helped me do a biggish mile day. The most notable part of the day was walking through an exposed area of forest that had died from beetle kill. Other than that it was forest and lake walking for most of the day.

Tonight I am camped at a lovely lake campsite, which hopefully will have a nice sunrise in the morning.
