PCT Day 103

Burney Falls Campground to Moosehead Creek – 28 miles (45 km) – 1447 miles total

It was an early start this morning to get the climb done before the heat of the day. The climb wasn’t too bad, it was long but gradual. The morning was spent in the shade of the forest which was nice. Then in the afternoon we got views of Shasta. The smoke has cleared from the fires in Oregon leaving views for miles. By lunch time we had done nearly 18 miles. Leaving 10 miles to do in the afternoon.

Mt Shasta

I arrived at camp around 6pm. The last water source for 10 miles, so set up camp not wanting to dry camp.

Today I am thankful for views of mt Shasta.
