PCT Day 95

Bear Creek to Bucks Summit – 13 miles (21km) – 1264 miles total

We left camp at 6am today with the hope of getting into town in time for lunch. The day started with a 5.5 mile climb and the rolled up and down for the rest of the time. We have mostly been in pine forests for the last few days.

I made it out to the road by 11am and we scored a hitch into town almost immediately in the back of a pick up. We went straight to the all you can eat pizza buffet. We then needed to resupply, go to the post office and outfitters. By that time it was mid afternoon and time to head to the hotel. Where showering, laundry and sorting our resupply took the rest of the time. Town days can be exhausting. But on the plus side, my hair is washed. So delightful.

Pine motel, the place of showers.

Today I am thankful for buffets.
