Yosemite Valley – 0 miles hiked
I had a lovely lazy day. I was awake by before 6am, but took my time having a cup of tea and breakfast. Then I went with the others into Yosemite Valley, where they were going to catch a shuttle to hike up to Glacier Point. I was going to stay in the valley and post my bag and tent onto a friend as I had new ones sent to my friends in Yosemite. Once I had posted my gear. I went to the library and took over their power boards to charge everyone’s stuff.
As I sat at the library D came back, not wanting to hike and instead went to see a doctor about pain in her foot. She was worried about a stress fracture, but it turned out to be bunyons. A much better prognosis.
I spent 4 hours in the library and got most stuff charged. By that time the others were back from their hike and I went and meet them at the beach on the river. We lazed around eating and drinking.
We then returned to the campsite for dinner, where I made hotdogs and was shown how to make s’mores as a celebration of the 4th of July in a few days.
Getting my Merican on with a hot dog and…
S’mores
I cowboy camped that night for the first time having sent my tent on.
Today I am thankful for another restful day to give my shin splints time to heal.
