Training for the Te Araroa

I had so many plans to get myself ready for the Te Araroa, but you know what they say about the best laid plans…Something about them not happening!

Instead, I found myself stuck behind a computer most days trying to get assignments done as I finish off study.

However, I thought it prudent to do what prep I could. I got my friend from New Zealand to talk to me in her best Kiwi accent and I watched Boy. So I’m feeling pretty prepared. 🙂

I am also a blogger for The Trek and I wrote my first blog for them and you can check it out here.

I did manage to get out for one overnight hike to do the Coast Track in the Royal National Park, while continuing to try and finish off essays on the train to the start of the Track.

It is not long now until I fly to New Zealand, so as under prepared as I am, I guess the best way to train is just to get out and do it. I mean. What is the worst that can happen?
